She couldn’t stand it, all of this inside her. In the end, she was nobody to Addie, she was nobody to Rose. Addie spit her words back at her and Rose squandered however many second chances she gave her. Gansey was just a girl with a lot of stuff and a hole inside her that chewed away more of her heart every year. They were always walking away from her. But she never seemed able to walk away from them.
